    JAMMU: Events throughout the political divide in J&Ok have welcomed the announcement on Tuesday by railway minister Ashwini Vaishnaw that three proposed railway initiatives within the state have been placed on maintain for now following opposition from the state govt and MPs, who’ve argued that the observe alignments may injury apple orchards.Vaishnaw mentioned there was a requirement for 3 further railway initiatives within the area, however these had been saved on maintain for now because of the objections raised.He didn’t specify the names of the initiatives.The governing Nationwide Convention mentioned the halted proposals embody the Bijbehara-Pahalgam railway hyperlink and the Pulwama-Shopian railway venture. These initiatives threatened to destroy scarce fertile land and push over one million rural households into uncertainty. In any future plan, farmers and native communities should be taken on board to guard Kashmir’s financial system and social cloth.”CPI(M) legislator M Y Tarigami mentioned connectivity to areas like Pahalgam and Shopian and different areas of J&Ok already exists via highway networks and extra roads are developing. “Improvement is meaningless if it destroys livelihoods,” he mentioned, hailing the railway minister for the choice to halt the initiatives.
