    New Delhi, The civil providers examination guidelines are a part of an evolving framework and the federal government constantly undertakes reforms apart from remedial measures to make sure a degree enjoying discipline, Union minister Jitendra Singh instructed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday.

    Singh was responding to a question searching for particulars of any proposal underneath the federal government’s consideration to exempt aspirants from Ladakh from qualifying Indian language paper as a part of civil providers examination.

    The civil providers examination is carried out yearly in three levels preliminary, fundamental and interview to pick officers of Indian Administrative Service , Indian Overseas Service and Indian Police Service , amongst others.

    In a written reply to the Lok Sabha, Singh, the Union Minister of State for Personnel, mentioned that the Indian language paper will not be obligatory for candidates hailing from the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Sikkim.

    His response got here on a query as as to whether candidates from these six states are exempted from the qualifying language papers within the civil providers examination carried out by the Union Public Service Fee.

    Singh mentioned that the examination is carried out by the UPSC yearly in accordance with the civil providers examination guidelines notified by the Division of Personnel and Coaching.

    “As per CSE Guidelines-2025, the Paper A on Indian Language will not be obligatory for candidates hailing from the states of Arunachal Pradesh, Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland and Sikkim,” he mentioned.
