Senior commandant of the Central Industrial Safety Power (CISF), Shailendra Pratap Singh, on Saturday was promoted as DIG. A 2004 batch CAPF officer, Shailendra at current is heading the VIP safety unit SSG (Particular Safety Group), which takes care of the safety particulars of Z+ and Z class protectees. His promotion as DIG would assist him tackle extra important roles in CISF.
