    Odisha gangrape case: Juvenile board sends 6 minors accused of Class IX girl’s rape to rehabilitation centre
    6 minors, aged 14-16, accused in a gang rape case of a Class IX woman, have been despatched to a juvenile rehabilitation centre (Consultant picture)

    BALANGIR: Police on Wednesday produced all six minors, aged between 14 and 16, accused of a Class IX woman’s gang rape, earlier than the Juvenile Justice Board, which despatched them to a juvenile rehabilitation centre in Balangir.“All six accused have been charged for circulating an objectionable video on social media platforms, together with rape expenses. The cell phone used to file and flow into the video has been seized. Medical examination and counselling of the survivor have been accomplished,” SP (Balangir) Abhilash G mentioned. Himanshu Lal, IG (Northern Vary), visited the realm to supervise the investigation. Based on police, the video was recorded inside an under-construction home whereas a gaggle of boys sexually assaulted the woman. The incident is reported to have occurred on Dec 25, 2025.
