The Louvre Museum says a crown left behind by thieves fleeing a daring theft final 12 months is basically intact and will probably be totally restored. The crown of French Empress Eugénie is lacking simply one of many eight gold eagles that embellished it, whereas all 56 emeralds stay in place and solely 10 of its 1,354 diamonds are unaccounted for. The thieves deserted the crown as they escaped with an estimated €88 million value of different jewels, most of which have but to be recovered. Soulange Mougin has extra.
