Shillong, Feb 5: The state cupboard on Thursday authorized amendments to the Fiscal Duty Finances Administration Act, permitting the federal government to avail an extra 0.5% fiscal deficit underneath the fifteenth Finance Fee’s suggestions.
“As per the fifteenth Finance Fee’s guidelines… each state authorities has to move the fiscal accountability funds administration act… to take that 0.5 further quantity,” Chief Minister Conrad Ok Sangma instructed reporters after the assembly.
He added that this may allow the state to entry extra funds.
The cupboard has additionally authorized the Governor’s Deal with, which shall be delivered on February 16. “We’ve got cleared the governor’s handle… and the cupboard has gone by the doc and the speech and it has been authorized as we speak,” Sangma knowledgeable.
