Fun Ways To Use Your Free Teen Slang Posters

These ideas are straight fire!

• Create a bulletin board with the posters, then invite students to add sticky notes with their own inspirational messages using the latest slang.
• Ask students to work in groups, “translating” each poster into plain language their parents or grandparents would understand.
• Have students choose a poster, then do some research and figure out how to send the same message using slang from another era. (For example, “Bruh, you can’t be late to class just because you think you have rizz,” could become “Dude, it’s so whack you always show up late just because you think you’re da bomb,” or “Man, it’s such a drag that you’re always late—you’re not nearly as groovy as you think.”)
