Motihari: East Champaran district administration has identified seven migrant workers who died and six who were critically injured in an explosion at a firecracker factory at Khuskheda, Bhiwadi in Rajasthan on Feb 16.The administrative process to provide benefits to the dependants of the deceased and injured under the Bihar State Migrant Labour Accident Grant Scheme has begun. Since the incident, silence has gripped villages in Harsidhi, Ghorasahan and Chiraiya blocks.According to district sources, the victims were Abhishek Kumar (35), Shyam Kumar (19) and Amresh Kumar (17) of Matiaria village in Harsidhi block; Rabi Kumar (19) and Mantu Kumar (14) of Murarpur village in Harsidhi; Mintu Kumar (22) of Nagarawa tola in Ghorasahan; and Sujant Kumar (18) of Narayanpur under Chiraiya block.DM Saurabh Jorwal has asked labour enforcement officers of the concerned blocks to visit affected families, prepare necessary documents and provide assistance.
