Amritsar: A 21-year-old BSc Nursing student at Sri Goindwal Sahib in Tarn Taran district was found hanging in her hostel room, with the family alleging that the student took this step due to ‘harassment’ by the university administration. While confirming the same, SSP Surendra Lamba said on Friday that the girl student had committed suicide in the hostel room, adding that the police was investigating the incident.According to police reports, Khushpreet Kaur, 21, a resident of Dhurkot village in Ludhiana district, was a third-semester BSc Nursing student. The student had complained to her family regarding some harassment, which is yet to be verified. Lamba said that the police took custody of the body and handed it over to the family after the post-mortem. The police has also seized Khushpreet Kaur’s mobile chats. MSID: 128609114 413 |
