He waved a Snoop and Swansea-branded towel above his head while the capacity crowd did the same and chanted “Snoop Dogg’s barmy army”.
The 54-year-old, who was joined in Wales by a sizeable entourage, watched the first half of the game from the directors’ box and the second half from a lounge in the stadium.
He then went into the home dressing room after the 1-1 draw.
Matos says the involvement of Snoop Dogg, alongside fellow celebrity co-owners Luka Modric and Martha Stewart, shows Swansea are “trying to do something different” and “trying to grow”.
“There’s noise, there’s more cameras as well, but that’s part of it and we need to know how to handle with that and we need to know how to stay stable,” Matos added.
“There’s a lot of things you can gain with it regarding the visibility, the fans, the name for the city, the name for the club, everywhere in the world.
“Our focus, in terms of manager and players, is just on the games and on performance.”
