Greater Western Sydney captain Toby Greene reveals he once knocked his own father out in the Giants changerooms, opening up on their strained relationship in the new AFL documentary being released on Friday.
The polarising small forward features on Amazon’s new series titled Final Siren: Inside the AFL.
Filmmakers followed several teams throughout the 2025 season and all four episodes of the inaugural season will be made public on Friday.

Greene, 32, appears alongside his wife Georgia and is asked about his father Michael, who was jailed following the 2019 grand final for headbutting a female police officer.
On that occasion, Michael had watched his son lose the AFL grand final to Richmond before falling asleep in a toilet cubicle and then getting in an altercation with police.

“Ten, 15 years drinking alcohol and (taking) drugs (has) probably taken a fair toll on his body and brain,” Greene says in the documentary.
The Giants star then revealed he had his own altercation with his father following a different AFL game.
“I knocked him out in the changerooms because he was drunk and carrying on,” Greene said.
“He’s pretty loud and boisterous and (he was) extremely drunk.
“And I was just embarrassed and just told him to F-off and punched him.
“So, yeah, it’s hard. The reason I love footy is because of him and (that is why I) got into it.
“That’s what I’ll take with me and then you learn your lessons from some things that he’s done that you can’t do.”
Greene is a superstar on the field but has courted plenty of his own controversy over the years for a number of on-field acts.
In the documentary he and Georgia open up on the abuse and death threats they receive from punters on social media regularly.
“I knew it was something I guess my mum had to deal with as well ,” Greene said.
“But what you see is it does have ripple effects around you and it’s something I would like not to happen, but sometimes I make silly decisions.”
The Giants begin their AFL season against the Hawks on March 7.
