In a letter to Holyrood’s Legal Justice Committee, Brown stated: “The Scottish authorities has concluded that while we help the basic precept of criminalising the acquisition of intercourse, we nonetheless retain important issues with the provisions as drafted within the invoice, and are very conscious that there are ladies in prostitution who’ve stated that this invoice as drafted will result in them being at a better threat of violence.
