Israeli demolition groups have begun to tear down the headquarters of the UN Palestinian Refugee Company, often known as Unrwa, in occupied East Jerusalem.
Israel says it owns the land on which the compound stands and has accused Unrwa of being infiltrated by Hamas.
Unrwa says its premises are protected below worldwide conventions and, whereas it admits that 9 Unrwa workers could have been concerned within the 7 October Hamas-led assaults, it says Israel hasn’t confirmed something extra intensive than that.
The BBC’s John Sudworth experiences from the location.
