Miley Cyrus Excites Fans With Throwback ‘Hannah Montana’ Footage

Miley Cyrus is teasing her fans with throwback footage from her days on the set of the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana.” In an Instagram post, Cyrus shared a slew of snaps of herself dressed as the fictional popstar, while others showed off some of the character’s costumes and a box full of old scripts.

While Miley Cyrus didn’t have much to say with this “Hannah Montana” tribute, the A-lister has excited some of her most loyal fans over the last several months, teasing that she and her team were working on something big for the TV show’s upcoming 20th anniversary.

Cyrus, who starred in the comedy series from March 2006 to January 2011, shared a montage of images from her time with Disney.

One image showed the now-33-year-old posing in a blonde wig, a bright pink jacket, white pants, and shiny high heels. Others were images of behind-the-scenes moments from the popular production.

“Going through the archives… so many memories,” Cyrus captioned her carousel of images. ” XoMC,” she finished.

It’s unclear exactly why Cyrus shared the photos; however, it’s likely that the “Flowers” singer was rummaging through lost files for inspiration as the show’s 20th anniversary approaches.

Considering “Hannah Montana” helped catapult Cyrus to global superstardom, it’s only right that the daughter of country legend Billy Ray Cyrus would want to do something to honor the show’s legacy.

According to an earlier report from The Blast, Cyrus is doing exactly that. In January 2026, Cyrus told a reporter that she was “working hard” on something big but wouldn’t share many details.

In another interview, covered by The Blast, Cyrus reflected on what she brought to the role of Hannah, adding that she doesn’t believe the character can be rebooted or revived by another actress.

“This is the only Hannah,” she said.

During her time on “Hannah Montana,” Cyrus released a handful of albums featuring catchy tunes, electrifying choreography, and eye-catching costumes.

But that’s not all. Cyrus also starred in the production’s only feature film, which featured the hit single “The Climb.”

Hannah Montana’s music resonated with many in the early 2000s, and while the show’s target audience back in the day has likely moved on from regularly streaming the tween pop star’s music, there’s still a strong sense of nostalgia when the tracks come on.

That’s probably why Cyrus’ latest upload sent some of her followers into a frenzy, with several sharing their excited reactions to seeing archival footage of Cyrus as Hannah.

“OUR CHILDHOOD,” someone wrote. “Hannah!!!” another shared.

“Just passed out,” a third user wrote, while a fourth said, “Forever iconic.”

Another user joked about Cyrus’ plans for the show’s upcoming anniversary, writing, “Drop the concert tickets now!”

Whatever Cyrus has in store for the “HM” reunion, it should be worthwhile, as the singer previously opened up about being “sad” after the show ended for reasons some may find quite surprising.

“After I left Disney, I wasn’t allowed to perform any of the Hannah Montana music,” Cyrus admitted on an episode of “The Ringer.” “It’s not like I wanted to, I mean, performing ‘The Best Of Both Worlds’ between ‘We Can’t Stop’ and ‘Wrecking Ball,’ wouldn’t have really made sense.”
