Mezan Studios has released an updated demo for Nightscape, giving players a refreshed look at its atmospheric 2.5D Arabian-inspired adventure ahead of Steam Next Fest, which runs from February 23 to March 2.
Currently in development for PC, PlayStation, and Xbox consoles, Nightscape blends exploration, puzzle-solving, and combat in a world shaped by astronomy and ancient myth.
Restore the Stars as Layla
Players take on the role of Layla, a young stargazer who inherited her father’s love of astronomy. After a mysterious event known as the Starfall leaves the world in chaos and her father missing, Layla embarks on a journey to restore balance and return the stars to the sky.
Armed with a bow and guided by constellation powers, Layla must traverse an ancient Arabian landscape filled with environmental puzzles and hostile creatures. Accompanying her is a magical Goat Kid companion, whose abilities assist in both traversal and combat encounters.
Harness the Power of the Constellations
Nightscape’s gameplay centers on celestial abilities inspired by Arabian astronomy. Layla can channel constellation powers to manipulate the elements, calling on the wind, summoning rain, and altering environmental conditions to solve puzzles and open new paths forward.
Combat sequences require careful use of her bow alongside these elemental abilities, encouraging players to combine ranged attacks with environmental manipulation to overcome monsters scattered throughout the land.
With its updated demo now available on Steam, Nightscape offers players an atmospheric preview of its star-driven mechanics and richly inspired world ahead of its participation in Steam Next Fest.
