    North Korean troops helped repel a large-scale Ukrainian incursion within the area final yr

    North Korea ‘solidified’ ties with Russia by ‘sharing blood’ in Ukraine conflict – Kim

    In late December, Kim instructed Russian President Vladimir Putin that bilateral ties have been strengthened by “sharing blood” on the Ukraine frontline, calling the connection a “valuable widespread asset” that should be preserved “for generations to come back.”

    Putin thanked Pyongyang for its navy help in Kursk, and stated the “heroic entry” of North Korean troops and their fight engineers proved the “invincible friendship” between the 2 peoples.

    The Russian authorities have praised the North Koreans’ function within the Kursk operation and vowed to erect a monument in Moscow to those that died. The late Russian ambassador to North Korea, Aleksandr Matsegora, stated monuments may be erected in Kursk Area, with streets named after the fallen.
