Following the newest launch of the Epstein recordsdata, claims made by the then Prince Andrew in a 2019 BBC Newsnight interview could be put beneath contemporary scrutiny.
The BBC’s Sean Coughlan and Sarah Campbell have gone via the interview to check Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s replies with emails which have been apparently despatched to and from the previous prince.
He’s going through rising strain from US officers and the household of his distinguished accuser, the late Virginia Giuffre, to testify within the US about his hyperlinks to Jeffrey Epstein.
The disgraced financier was convicted in 2008 of procuring a toddler for prostitution and died by suicide in 2019, as he awaited trial on intercourse trafficking fees.
The BBC has contacted Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor for remark. He has beforehand denied any wrongdoing.
