GURGAON: A marriage video of common Haryana-based car YouTuber Arun Panwar has triggered a heated debate on dowry and social duty after visuals surfaced exhibiting massive quantities of money and gold being offered throughout wedding ceremony rituals, even because the presents have been described as “daan” (donation) and never dowry. Panwar, a resident of Gurugram and initially from Indri village in Sohna, goes to get married to Dr Tithi. Marriage ceremony ceremonies held on January 30 sparked criticism. In a reel uploaded on Panwar’s Instagram account, an individual is seen studying out an in depth record of things allegedly given as “daan”. The narration mentions, “Ladke ki chain saade paanch tole ki,” adopted by an inventory that features a 4 tola bracelet, two gold rings for engagement and marriage, jewelry for the groom’s father, uncle, brothers, mom, sister-in-law and the bride’s sister. The video additional claims {that a} whole of 21 tolas of gold and Rs 71 lakh in money got.
