SHILLONG, FEB 27: A group of 11 IAS officers-in-training called on Meghalaya Governor C.H. Vijayashankar at Lok Bhavan, discussing governance, public service delivery, and the state’s development priorities.
The interaction saw the Governor emphasizing civil servants’ role in ensuring transparent and citizen-centric administration.
“The pivotal role of civil servants is to ensure transparent, accountable, and citizen-centric administration,” he said, urging the officers to work with dedication and integrity.
Vijayashankar highlighted Meghalaya’s unique socio-cultural landscape, stressing collaborative efforts for inclusive growth.
“Meghalaya’s development aspirations require collaborative efforts between the administration and various stakeholders to achieve inclusive growth and sustainable progress,” he noted.
The IAS trainees expressed gratitude for the Governor’s guidance, with the meeting concluding on a renewed commitment to strengthen governance and advance the state’s development agenda.
