    Mysore/Mysuru:  In an early morning operation right now, the Mysuru Taluk Administration cleared encroachment on 38 guntas of land in Survey No. 87, Kasaba hobli, situated at a main spot alongside Mysuru-Ooty Nationwide Freeway (NH-766).

    The reclaimed land is estimated to be price about Rs. 25 crore on the prevailing market worth.

    Tahsildar Ok.M. Mahesh Kumar instructed Star of Mysore that as per official notification No. LND (1) CR-280/2009-10 dated Aug. 30, 2010, the land had been reserved for the development of a post-matric ladies or boys’ hostel by the Backward Courses and Minorities Welfare Division.

    After restoration and fencing of the property, the land can be handed over to the Division and a warning board can be put in to stop contemporary trespass. He added that the encroachment-clearance drive will proceed in coming days too.
