Nerfs and buffs rain down on Black Desert Online with last week’s patch

Get your calculators out and your reading glasses polished because Black Desert just dumped a huge rebalance patch with 217 different changes — and some of them might affect you.

Pearl Abyss said that the balance pass is mostly focused on three areas: adjusting AP stats gained through skills, the removal of extra damage to guard gauge from all skills, and a bunch of class-specific balance changes. “These changes are designed to reinforce unique playstyles, compensate for shortcomings, or tone down overperforming classes,” the studio noted.

The Black Desert team also posted a report on player-studio charity efforts for 2025, which helped to benefit 75,000 people through Doctors without Borders in Sudan. “Since 2019, Pearl Abyss has continued to support MSF’s work through charity events held together with Adventurers from Black Desert and Black Desert Mobile,” the charity said. “This year’s donation will be used to support efforts to treat malnutrition and respond to epidemic outbreaks.”
