    Ludhiana: A day after the district administration claimed that mining being carried within the Khaira Guess space is from allotted desilting web site, villagers and members of a farmers organisation proceed to carry protest in opposition to the alleged “Unlawful mining” within the space. Advocate Ravinderpal Singh Raju, who’s the principle face of the protest, claimed that greater than 700 villagers together with 200 to 250 girls from Khaira Guess, Walipur Kalan, Burj Man Singh, Noorpur Guess, Hambran and many others staged protest on the Pukka Morcha on Sunday. Saurav Syal, member of committee which has launched the protest stated that in final floods, many villages had been in danger and land of villagers was washed away by the floods. He added that the protest is to avoid wasting the lives and property of the villagers. The protestors additionally maintained that the mining is illegitimate and raised objections in opposition to use of heavy equipment for a similar. The district administration in a press release on Saturday had stated that there’s an allotted desilting web site in Khaira guess advanced District Ludhiana. It had added that it’s a authorized exercise and utilization of heavy equipment is allowed on this course of as it’s a time certain course of.
