Rain, Strong Winds and Hail Alert Issued for 13 Rajasthan Districts

Rajasthan’s weather is due to change today. The Meteorological Department warns that several districts in Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer, and Jodhpur divisions may see rain with strong winds and hailstorms this afternoon. An alert has been issued for 13 districts across the state. Since Tuesday morning, many areas, including Jaipur, have experienced strong winds and dense clouds. Over the past 24 hours, the weather stayed clear with temperatures between 30 and 35°C due to bright sunshine, with Barmer recording the highest at 34.3°C.

Weather experts predict more pronounced changes on February 17th and 18th, with expected light rain, strong winds, and hailstorms in districts of Bikaner, Jaipur, Ajmer, Kota, Udaipur, and Bharatpur divisions. These changes are likely to affect 25 districts across the state on February 18th.

The heat wave is intensifying, with most cities recording daytime temperatures above 30°C on February 16th. Barmer topped at 34.3°C, followed by Bikaner at 33.8°C, Jodhpur at 33.1°C, Chittorgarh and Pali at 33.3°C, and Jaisalmer at 32.5°C. Jaipur had a maximum of 30°C and a minimum of 15.3°C, while Ajmer recorded 30.7°C. Alwar reached 31.8°C, Bhilwara 31.2°C, Sikar 30.5°C, and Kota 31.1°C. Nagaur and Dausa both hit 31.7°C, Karauli 31.3°C, and Udaipur 31.1°C.

Minimum temperatures across eastern and western Rajasthan ranged from 8°C to 16°C, easing the morning and evening chill. Fatehpur recorded 8°C, Alwar 7.4°C, and Sirohi 9.9°C. Meteorologists expect continued fluctuations, with temperatures likely rising further in the coming days.
